A local lad from Yarm, Elliot quickly showed his potential when winning the Northside Amateur Championship 125cc Novice class in 2015 and has made outstanding progress over the past two seasons in the Northern Junior League with his local team, the Redcar Cubs, and has formed a potent combination with his regular race partner, Alex Goldsbrough.
Elliot already benefits from a professional set-up, well supported by his Grandad, Edward Sturman, who has had the biggest influence on his speedway and acts as mechanic and driver, as well as providing many of the necessary off-track tasks including liaising with sponsors.
After finishing on the rostrum in each of the final three rounds of the 2017 British Youth Championship 125cc support class and ending the season as Redcar Cubs 'Rider of the Year' - having doubled his average!
2018 witnessed another significant stride forward when, following several successfull practice sessions aboard full-size 500cc equipment, Elliot announced that his second-place finish in the final of the Glasgow round of the British Junior Championship - which he qualified for with a four-ride, 12 point maximum - would be his last on a 125 and he would thereafter be 500-mounted in subsequent rounds.
In December '18 Mildenhall handed Elliot a perfect early combined Christmas/Birthday present by announcing that he would be making his National League debut as a Fen Tigers rider at the start of the 2019 season.
Elliot is very appreciative of the sponsorship support he receives and would like to thank each and every one of the generous companies, groups and individuals for their assistance in helping him strive to fulfill his potential and reach his future ambitions.
